Nineteen Fifty-Seven was the year Sputnik II & I were launched; Humphrey Bogart died and Jorn Utzon wins the design competition for the Sydney Opera House. It was also the year Wanda Stafford was born. 

Wanda has exhibited in Galleries, Café’s and Hotels stretching from Wollongong New South Wales to Townsville Queensland.

Her primary medium is watercolour. She describes her art as 'unbound, organic and bold.' Wanda states 'I enjoy the use of watercolor because of the fluidity and knowing I can create a diverse ensemble throughout a piece. Hand-made deckled paper is the first element I use when painting with watercolour, it gives a distinctive character that allows the work to breathe and take form.'

In addition, Wanda also enjoys large acrylic paintings and the detailed control of pencil and pastel drawings. She gains inspiration from her immediate surrounds, widespread travel and the graceful observation of people. Many of her pieces have sold in a vast span of professional and private collections, including commissioned work.

With over 200 paintings sold, in acrylic, watercolour, oil, fridge art and t-shirts it is a wonder that she is able to enjoy the awe-inspiring location where she now lives, the Blue Mountains NSW.
